Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the FinLite mobile application ("the App"), you ("User" or "You") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

FinLite reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the App. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. User Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
  • If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

3. License Grant

FinLite grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not sublicense, resell, or redistribute the App without explicit permission from FinLite.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Provide Accurate Information

  • Register with accurate, complete, and truthful information
  • Keep your account credentials confidential
  • Promptly update any information that changes

4.2 Acceptable Use

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms
  • Do not engage in harassment, hate speech, or threatening behavior
  • Do not attempt to access unauthorized portions of the App
  • Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code
  • Do not use the App for commercial purposes without authorization

4.3 Security

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify FinLite immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Intellectual Property Rights

FinLite retains full ownership and rights to:

  • The App and all its components
  • Software, code, and algorithms
  • Design, graphics, and user interface
  • Content and documentation

You retain ownership of any personal financial data you input. FinLite retains a license to use your data to improve the App and provide services.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • FinLite is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • FinLite is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • FinLite's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the past 12 months (or $100, whichever is greater)
  • FinLite is not responsible for third-party services, network interruptions, loss of data, or decisions made based on the App's information

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. FINLITE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability of data

8. Financial Advice Disclaimer

FinLite provides financial tracking and budgeting tools, but is NOT a provider of financial, investment, or legal advice. The App is for personal informational use only. Always consult with a qualified financial advisor before making significant financial decisions.

9. Termination

FinLite may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App if you violate these Terms, engage in unlawful or harmful conduct, or for any reason at FinLite's discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. FinLite may delete your data after a 30-day grace period.

11. Entire Agreement
